Great tool for travel planning a quick trip to this region of England
I visited Oxford las month and this Pocket Guide was a great value. Sights and pubs reviews were spot on. One thing though: during graduation season, several sights are closed down for private events. Duke Humfrey's library and the Sheldonian Theater were unavailable during my trip. Maybe there's a note in the guide which I might have missed, but a heads-up on this would be nice.

Outstanding companion
The latest Lonely Planet guide to Nepal is an outstanding companion for anyone dreaming of exploring this extraordinary country. Thoroughly updated and thoughtfully structured, the book strikes a perfect balance between practical travel advice and inspiring storytelling.
What truly stands out is the depth of local insight. From detailed trekking routes in the Himalayas to cultural explanations that help readers understand Nepal’s rich spiritual traditions, the guide goes far beyond surface-level recommendations. The sections on Kathmandu Valley, remote mountain regions, and lesser-known destinations are especially well done, offering both classic highlights and rewarding off-the-beaten-path experiences.
The practical information is clear, reliable, and easy to navigate.
