Really helped with the planning of my trip. Great tips in the book and very useful pull out map. My ‘go to’ for any future trips
Guide very well done, easy to read and helpful to plan a long weekend in the Cotswolds!
I have travelled to around 100 countries and 1000 places over the decades and I always consult the Lonely Planet Guides. The Guides are not designed for luxury travellers but they are ideal for those who wish to get closer to the realities and excitement of different cultures. I have recently purchased the West Africa guide as I am about to return to what is one of my favourite parts of the world. Well done Lonely Planet.
Your "Norway" was excellent. I intended to have my month in Norway with just the online edition but finished up taking the book as well. In the section on Oslo all the accomodation references are in relation to the Central (rail) Station. However, I found the National Theatre station to be just as central as just as accessible. Also the Coastal Route cruise involves working vessels delivering mail, taking passengers from one town to the next. and has great historical ad cultural significance in Norway and I think should be mentioned (Hurtigruten, Havilla and possibly other companies). Also the train to Stockholm was momorable.
