Prague & the Czech Republic - Vinohardy & Vrsovice (Chapter)
This is the Vinohrady & Vršovice chapter from Lonely Planet's Prague & the Czech Republic guidebook.
Vinohrady (literally ‘vineyards’) is one of the city’s most desirable residential neighbourhoods, known for its excellent restaurants and fashionable bars and cafes. Adjacent Vršovice is not quite as sophisticated, though parts are slowly gentrifying.
- Stroll lovely Riegrovy sady, with photo-op vistas out over to Prague Castle in the distance and to the Old Town and the main train station below. Follow your walk with a visit to the park’s cheery beer garden.
- Sip some wine in the open air at Vinohrady’s Viniční Altán.
- Have a meal to remember at a great restaurant such as Aromi.
